The Node Six mission is to “harness the power of the internet” and over the past few years, we have been steadily focusing on creating tools and platforms to foster the growth of local content and online communities in Uganda and Africa at large.
We believe that, using the power of the internet, the tools and communities like the ones we create will foster growth, learning, social interaction and development in Africa. And we are excited to be a part of this legacy.
Collectively, we refer to our tools, platforms and communities as the Node Six Media Network.
Our Social Media Network currently has Design Kingdom www.designkingdom.ug, a community for Ugandan artists and designers; BlogSpirit [ http://blogspirit.ug ], an aggregator of Ugandan Blogs.
And now, we are happy to introduce the third member of our Social Media Network, a community website that we have launched which will focus strictly on events. This website is called Proggie! [ http://proggie.ug ]

Proggie! is very simply a website that shows and features upcoming events in Uganda.
These events are in different categories like; business, kids, religious, technology, nightlife, etc. The website will allow you to see what’s going on a daily and monthly basis per category and you can also find events by location. Each event has a details page with the location of the event displayed using Google maps.
Target Audience Profile
By its nature, Proggie! is targeted towards the 16-35 urban, city based demographic.
The younger 16-24 age group loves to party, hang out and attend local hiphop concerts. The older 25-35 demographic also loves to hang out and party, but at more sophisticated locations. They also attend corporate events and go for high-class musical concerts. Read More or Visit Proggie! |

Design Kingdom is an online community bringing together all designers, developers, artists, photographers and enthusiasts in Uganda and the Diaspora together. It is a one stop point for tutorials, articles, forums, job

BlogSpirit is an aggregator that fetches feeds from over 300 Ugandan blogs into on central website. This means you can find out if your favourite Ugandan blogger has updated their blog or if there are other exciting bloggers with articles you'd love.
