Web Designer

We are looking for a full-time web designer with experience creating top-caliber web sites. Candidates must have extensive practical experience in graphic design and overall web site design and production. Candidates must be creative with an ability to come up with original and out-of the box designs and ideas.

Details / Responsibilities:

  • Designing websites
  • Designing interfaces for browser-based applications
  • Design of themes for blogs and Joomla!
  • Developing Flash animations ranging from simple banners/animations to fairly complex interactive flash applications
  • Validating and cross-checking cross-browser compatilibility for various websites.
  • Periodic maintenance and update of existing client websites

The following design/development skills are required:

  • Creativity and Web 2.0 layout skills
  • Very good HTML Skills
  • Good CSS page creation Skills - Tableless Website Design
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Good knowledgde of Dreamweaver
  • Good knowledge of Flash Animation

Additional Requirements

  • Desire to learn new technologies and formats.
  • A positive attitude
  • Efficient, self-motivated, able to work with others on projects.
  • JavaScript development a plus
  • Knowledge of Joomla! is also a plus.
  • Have a good eye for design related details such as alignment, font, color schemes, layout
  • Capable of producing designs for existing brands, and staying within existing brand guidelines
  • Familiarity with user interface design and good usability
  • Be able to take creative direction, without the need to be micro-managed
