How do I create email accounts?

Written by Administrator
To create an email account, login to your control panel and click Mail, then Add/Remove Email Accounts.

NOTE: By default you have no email address setup. The main username may look like it is setup as an email, but if you wish to use it, you will need to add it as an email account.

I am having trouble connecting to my email account through Outlook

Written by Administrator

If you are experiencing trouble connecting to your email account using Outlook and Outlook Express, check your email account settings. One of the more common causes of connection problems is that the account may be established as an IMAP-based account, instead of a POP3-based account. Your settings should be:

* Incoming mail server (POP3) - mail.yourdomain.com (where "yourdomain.com" is the name of your domain)
* Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - mail.yourdomain.com

What do I put for both incoming and outgoing mail server?

Written by Administrator
For both incoming and outgoing mail server, put mail.yourdomain.com.

What is POP or POP3?

Written by Administrator

POP3 stands for Post Office Protocol 3. It is used to retrieve email from a remote server over a TCP/IP connection or in this case, an internet connection.

The beauty of POP3 email, is that if you want, you are able to pop (download) your email and save it to your computer unlike advertising sponsored free webmail providers like.

The other advantage of popping your email is that it frees up your hosting space which you can use for something else.

Where do I go to check my emails using my browser?

Written by Administrator

Node Six automatically creates a webmail address these locations:

http://www.yourdomain.com/email

and

http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail

Due to feedback from clients, we specifically created http://www.yourdomain.com/email to bypass a lot of options that come up when you logon using the default  www.yourdomain.com/webmail

That option will take you straight to the squirrelmail interface.

To check your email using your web browser, go to
http://yourdomain.com/webmail/
